MIO-ESCDE (the Mediterranean Information Office for Enironment, Culture and Sustainable Development) is a a non-profit Federation of 133 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working in the fields of Environment and Development in 28 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean area. It is based in Athens
MIO-ECSDE participates in PLASTEAM through its long-standing education initiative called MEdIES (Mediterranean Education Initiative on Environment and Sustainability), an international e-network of aprox. 5,000 educators engaged with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). We aim that this network will benefit from the PLASTEAM activities, such as the footprint APP, the contest and the educational material.
Within PLASTEAM, MIO-ECSDE/ MEdIES coordinates the development of the STEAM Box and Lab (IO3) in order to underline its environmental and sustainability focus.
